Frequently Asked Questions

A career coach helps you with the tactical surface of work — resume, interview, LinkedIn, salary negotiation, industry switches. Useful work; just not what I do. I work on the layer underneath: the values, the identity, the courage, and the leadership skills you carry between roles. If you need a great career coach, I have referrals.

A life coach works across your whole life with a focus on goals and habits. A performance coach focuses on outcomes — closing more deals, hitting more numbers — sometimes at the expense of how you got there. I work specifically on human-centered leadership: how you lead yourself and other people, with character and core values intact.

Sometimes people think coaching is like tutoring - it’s not. Instead, you decide what we’re going to focus on and I’ll ask questions about the things you're saying without realizing you're saying them. By the end of the hour, you usually have language for making sense of something you’re experiencing, and often, a perspective you weren't considering before.

-
It means I'm certified to recognize when something deeper than coaching is happening in the room, to handle the conversation responsibly, and to know the line between coaching and clinical care. A lot of what people bring to leadership work is rooted in workplace trauma, and I take it seriously without fumbling it.
-
Yes. Some clients arrive through company-sponsored programs, but a lot of my clients are direct engagements. Reach out and we'll talk through what makes sense.

Primarily small and mid-sized — think tens of millions in revenue rather than hundreds — plus leadership cohorts inside larger organizations through partner consultancies. If you're not sure whether we're a fit, send a note.
-
Yes — keynotes and workshops on first-generation professionals, the Core Values OS, and human-centered leadership for organizations and leadership conferences. Send the rough shape of your event and we'll take it from there.

Book a 20-minute intro call. We'll talk about what's going on, whether this is the right kind of support, and what next steps might look like with no obligation or pressure.
